Dental Implants – The Process

You will also be informed of any preparatory things you need to do before the process begins.
If you have broken or rotten teeth, they will be removed to make space for the implant. Fitting the implant will be done under a local anaesthetic, causing mild discomfort, at most, but no pain. An incision is made in the gum, and a tiny hole is drilled into your jawbone. The implant is carefully fitted into this hole.
Once the implant is finished, it is a case of waiting for it to fuse with the surrounding bone. This part of the process can take anything from six weeks to six months. Your artificial tooth will be created while you wait for the implant to fuse.
Recovery and Aftercare
